Ernest J. Rowe — Western Storyteller with a Legacy

Ernest J. Rowe is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Education and Language Arts. A lifelong storyteller, he has dedicated his writing to capturing the grit, faith, and humanity of the American West. His passion for history and family roots runs deep — his own lineage is tied to legendary gunslinger Doc Holliday, and he is now the keeper of Holliday’s historic gun, a symbol that fuels much of his inspiration.

Drawing from this legacy, Rowe writes in a bold and authentic first-person voice that transports readers into the Old West, blending meticulously researched history with the timeless themes of redemption, love, and faith. His fiction is more than entertainment — it is a spiritual journey that honors the struggles and triumphs of men and women who lived on the edge of frontier life.

Influenced by classic authors such as Mark Twain, Rowe’s work reflects sharp observation, moral depth, and a love for authentic storytelling. His debut novel, The Redemption of the Soul of John Henry Holliday, reimagines the final days of Doc Holliday through a deeply human and redemptive lens, inviting readers to see beyond the myth and into the soul of the man.

Beyond his books, Ernest is committed to building a community of readers who share his love of Western history, faith-based literature, and stories of resilience. He welcomes opportunities for interviews, book signings, and speaking engagements to share not only his stories, but also the history and inspiration behind them.
